The Herd Model 1200C Broadcaster has a 16 bushel or 1200 lbs. capacity and has an adjustable pattern control that enables easy centering of light and heavy material. The 1200C is great for spreading all types of seeds and fertilizer, as well as salt, sand or calcium on ice or snow.
With Herd's precision metering system, you can control spreading of
seeds down to 3 lbs. per acre or fertilizer from 50 to 1000 lbs. per acre. No special parts are needed to change from seed to fertilizer. And the round hopper base prevents corner lodging!
The Herd 1200C has a maneuverable size that works well for
farms, nurseries, schools, golf courses, parks, etc.

PTO Broadcast Seeder/Spreader has a shielded telescoping PTO shaft and a heavy cast iron gearbox that has tapered roller bearings and drop forged gears. the gearbox is standard for 540 RPM tractors, but can be ordered for 1000 RPM.
The rugged construction includes a 2" square tubing frame with a built-in stand. The
Herd Model 1200C has powder-coated paint for non-rust durability and a heavy-duty 14 gauge
steel hopper with welded seams.
